Tap or Die is a fast‑paced reflex game. Three circles appear on screen — one green, two red. Tap the green circle before the timer runs out to earn points and keep playing. Tap a red circle, miss completely, or let the timer hit zero, and it's game over. As your score increases, the allowed time shrinks, and the background changes color. The game is designed to be completely private — no tracking, no data collection, no internet required.
Tap or Die does not collect any data. There are no analytics SDKs, no crash reporting tools, no advertising frameworks, and no internet permission. The app works fully offline.
The game stores exactly one piece of data on your device: your best score (the highest number of green circles you have successfully tapped before dying). This data is only used to display your personal high score in the game over screen. Uninstalling the app removes this data automatically.
When you start a new game, three circles appear at random positions on the screen (spaced apart). One circle is bright GREEN — tapping it gives you +1 point, makes the game slightly faster (time limit reduces gradually), and spawns a fresh set of circles. The other two circles are RED — tapping any red circle ends the game immediately. If you tap anywhere outside all circles, the game also ends.
Each time you tap the green circle correctly:
All game logic (positions, timing, difficulty scaling, visual effects) runs locally on your device. No information about your taps, speed, or performance leaves your device.
Tap or Die requires no special permissions. It does not access the internet, storage (beyond its own private SharedPreferences for high score), camera, microphone, contacts, or location. The game only draws on the screen and registers touch events.
This app uses no third‑party libraries that collect data. No ads, no analytics, no crash reporters. The only external code is the standard Android SDK and AppCompat (both required to run the app).
Because no data is collected in any form, Tap or Die is safe for children of all ages. It fully complies with COPPA, GDPR‑K, and other child privacy regulations. The game contains no in‑app purchases, no chat, no user‑generated content, and no external links.
With zero data transmission or storage outside your device, there is no risk of data breaches, leaks, or unauthorised access. Your best score is stored using Android’s standard secure local storage (SharedPreferences), accessible only by the app itself.
No data is retained beyond your device’s local storage. To delete all app‑related data (including your best score):
After uninstallation, no trace of your gameplay remains.
If the game is updated with new features that require data handling (e.g., online leaderboards or cloud saves), this policy will be updated and a new effective date will be posted. You will be notified via the app’s store listing or an in‑app notice. The current policy always reflects the app's behavior.
